Director: Owen Ho
The GOODENSEMBLE ORCHESTRA is semi-professional orchestra based in central London and is the resident orchestra at the Goodenough College, an award-winning intercollegiate accommodation for postgraduates. Our players are drawn from Goodenough College’s unique reserves of resident musicians who study at the four major London conservatoires: Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance; whereas their fellow friends who play an instrument also have the privilege to sit side by side and experience the taste of professional music-making.
The Goodensemble Orchestra is currently directed by Owen Ho (2019-), a conductor/composer from the Royal College of Music, alongside his fellow conductors Zhu Sun, Will Sharma, Bradley Wood, and Kirsten Strom. Previously, the Goodensemble Orchestra was directed by Kaspar Querfurth (2018-19) following the departure of Ray Chan and Michael Poll, who co-founded the Goodensemble Orchestra in 2014 with a mission to bring quality classical music to the Goodenough College and the Bloomsbury area.
